And you can still get sealed copies for $9.98 on the 8mm video and play
them back with your 8mm videotape camera. I have one and it's the real
thing stereo and everything and the quality is better than VHS.

I didn't mentioned *anything* about it being for sale at a DisneyStore.
There's a place that specializes in 8mm prerecorded tapes mail order.
Yes, it's an offical Disney tape with silk screened cassette and
original color artwork on the box. I belive this was at a time when
Disney was tinkering with the idea of 8mm being a 'wave of the future'
and dropped the idea. I say this because I've never seen many
pre-recorded tapes and the catalog only had one other Disney title (Mad
about the Mouse). I'll be happy to give you the # email only.
Where ?
Ciao,
Alex.

First a correction. The 8MM video tape of Little Mermaid doesn't have a
silkscreen printed on the cassette. It's just a label-- sorry for my
misinfo earlier. The artwork is high quality and slightly diffrent than
the VHS- it's the same as the CAV laserdisk version. The back of the
tape says "mastered in digital video and audio and presented in hi-fi
stereo with surround". I have absolutely no reason to belive these are
a bootleg as during the early '90's lots of companys tinkered with the
idea of releasing movies on 8mm tape.
Also, I don't think the Disney armada of lawyers would put up with
bootlegs advertised nationaly in the US.
That and the high quality of the print and crispness of the artwork
says--"it's original". Also, the artwork on the box is crisp, clean and
quality. Bottom line, it looks great on TV.
You'll have to email me because my home newsfeed doesn't allow for
