I went over to my local Disney store, and I asked them about two Lion King
sequels. One of them, Scar's Destiny, the other is Simba's Pride. Scar's
Destiny (a.k.a Scar's Return) has a plot very simular to that of Balto.
Scar gets his butt kicked out of the pridelands, makes friends with some
wolves, dogs, and coyotes, and is still the social outcast as he thinks he
does not belong anywere. Simba is outraged that the hyenas didn't kill
him, and starts a fight with him. A female wolf tries to break up the
fight but gets killed by Simba. After much greiving, Scar tries to seek
revenge, but is too weak and cowardly to do so. Simba 'hires' a pack of
Pit Bulls, and the attention of the dogs attracts a maurading pack of
other wolves, then they start a fight. During the fight, Scar is flipped
over the Rift Valley, and is supposedly dead. A few days in coma, however
Scar regains conciousness, but prefers to stay out of sight.
Scar is caught by a farmer, and is trained to hunt down innocent
animals. With the help of two teenagers, Scar is set free. Unable to
decide to stay at Pinnacle Peak or return to Pride Rock, he is caught
betwween a rock and a really hard place. But one night, the building of a
humane society burns, threating to kill the employess and the animals. As
it is too dangerous for Fire Fighters to put out the fire, it is Scar's
duity (sp) to rescue the people and animals trapped in the building. After
the heroic act that Scar did, Simba finally accepts Scar into his pride.
But another tragedy strikes. Nala is killed when out hunting for food by a
poacher, and days later, an old wolf from the 'Predator Pack' passes
away. Very sad ending. Complex plot.
The only things that was unrealistic about the plot was the fact
about the coyotes. Coyotes natually live only in North America, and do not
live in Africa unless introduced there. Scar's Destiny will be made by
MCA/Universal and Amblin Entertainment with a little bit of help from
Disney.
Simba's Pride unlike Scar's Destiny, has a very simple plot.
Scar's son, Kovu, marries Simba's daughter, Chaka. I will only like this
movie if it has Scar in it. Walt Disney's doing this movie.

Whoa-sounds like one dark mama jamma of a movie! I can't believe that
Disney would let a major, much-loved character in one of its movies get
killed in a sequel. I'm sure that if it ever gets made, the outcry from
parents will make the brouhaha over "Hunchback" seem like a Sunday tea
party.
