Those were COOL! I loved DTV, especially the cool intro music and animation. :)

Disney did DTV2 around 1989, but that was short-lived. Just recently,
though, I turned on the Disney Channel, and ta da! New DTVs! Old intro
music and animation, but new (to me) videos! I forget now what the video
was. :(

They were in the '80s. There were three tapes (I had them all). One was
pop and rock, one was oldies, and one was rhythm and blues.

There were some videos of it released in the early-mid '80s. You won't
find them for sale, but your local video store may have them for rental.
I also enjoyed these "videos," and I'd love to see the concept revived.
How about some Jimmy Buffet accompanying scenes from "The Little Mermaid,"
the Village People's "YMCA" behind a montage of "Hercules" training scenes
(intercut with clips from the old short where Goofy sets up a home gym),
or Aretha Franklin and Annie Lennox's "Sisters Are Doin' It For
Themselves" behind scenes of modern Disney heroines at their strong and
sassy best?
