This initiative is sponsored by the American Cancer Society, American
Heart Association, American Lung Association, and the Arizona Hospital
and Healthcare Association.
I used to live in California where all establishments are smoke free
and it is wonderful to go out dancing and not have to come out smelling
like cigarette smoke. I encourage all Arizonians to find a place to
sign the petition to get the initiative on the November 2006 ballot.
If you would like to volunteer, please go to the Smoke Free AZ web site
http://www.smokefreearizona.org/action/
I will have the petition with me, so if you would like to sign, please
let me know.
Thank You,
Cruz Dominguez
Why is it that no one from the government would give a comment (were they
asked?)? Ido know how reliable the government is is and they would jump at
the chance to have
their say with no comment from the other side. They would like for the
process to be mysterious so we would not know why;
however, you and I both know that they know what the issue is. I continue
to
find it disturbing that anyone would feel moved to consider city politics
over and above the needs of the individuals. Sad
place indeed.
