Did everybody enjoy the show on NBC last night? If you liked it be sure to
email NBC at mov...@nbc.com and let them know. I would sure love to see more
on network television.

Yes, I enjoyed the show very much. However, judging from the other, more
extensive thread about this milestone of a broadcast, dancers found more to fault
than to enjoy. In fact, I think I read more moans and groans about Debbie
Allen's comments than about the excellence of the dancing that was displayed to
millions of households (5.6 million based on an estimate in one of the posted
messages).

Michael Wentink was dead on when he said at the end that it was great for
dancesport to finally get the kind of exposure it was getting on NBC Saturday
night. For those of us who have been part of this "well kept secret" of ballroom
dance/ dancesport, Jack Armstrong's exhortation to tell NBC how much we enjoyed
the show should be taken seriously. Let's not lose sight of a fairly significant
event in the popularization of dancesport in the US, lest our faultfinding keeps
our "well kept secret" that much longer under wraps. If you enjoyed the show,
let NBC know, particularly those of you out there (like me) who would like to see
the Standard dancers the next time.
