I am looking for a competition dance partner for some upcoming
competitions this year. I have all ready gone through a number of prospects
that haven't worked out for one reason or another. WHAT DOES ONE HAVE TO DO TO
FIND A DANCE PARTNER??? Sheeesh!! Anyway, I live in northern NJ, and I take
private lessons in Manhattan. CW dancing is my PASSION, and I am willing (and
even EAGER) to practice MANY, MANY hours a week, if that can possibly be
arranged. But I understand that most of you don't have that kind of time.
That's o.k. But I do need someone with at least, SOME time, per week to spare
on dancing (lessons and practice) along with the money, energy, passion and
determination needed to be a competitor. For me, the ultimate goal is to be a
BEST DANCER I CAN BE, and competition would serve as a good tool towards that
goal. I will be 34 this month. I am looking for someone between 20 and 45. You
don't have to be "good" or even have a lot of talent. But you do have to have
the "drive" to be the best you can be. I would ideally like to compete, doing
any, some or even all of the dances I mentioned above. So, if you might at ALL
be interested, please contact me at pmf...@cyberwar.com, ASAP!!! & All you
Ballroom & Latin dancers out there.....Even though you may not be into country
dancing, I guaranty you, that you will NOT find a more passionate male,
partner-dancer who will want to practice and practice and practice as much as
me! So, why not take a chance!? ;-) I hope to hear from any any of you ladies
out there who would like to take on this challenge! Hope to dance with you
soon!!! :)
**P.S. I may even consider RELOCATING for a dance partner, if it looks like a
good match! Might "you" be willing to do the same? Just asking.
I have answered that question many times in this forum. Regardless of
who or what you are, the dancing you do, etc., the answer is the same:
Get your ass out on the floor! Dance with _every_one! You will find
beginning dancers with whom you dance well and advanced dancers with
whom you dance poorly. And you'll find a broad spectrum of compatibility
in between. If you have good luck, you might find a partner with whom
you dance better than anyone else. If you're extremely lucky, that
partner will feel the same about dancing with you.
Since, as partners, you'll be spending a great deal of time together,
all the other factors of personal relationships come into play from
physical preferences to age and culture of the other. It's far more
difficult to find a dance partner than a spouse. Don't hold your breath.
