I heard that the new Longshot series will be shipping then, too!

In reply to the ? earlier about what's going on with WotG I offer the
following rumor(s) that I heard at my local shop:
The terminal lateness of WotG is all due to screw-ups on the part of
George Perez. The way I hear it is that Perez took on the major crossover
project for both Marvel & DC, and then decided to go on vacation in the
midst of it all. The result being, in addition to incredibly late issues
of WotG and Infinity Gauntlet, Perez's firing from Marvel and (?) DC.
You'll note that Ron Lim did the art for I.G. all by himself in issue
#6...
If this info has already been disseminated, my apologies, but it's hard
to keep up with a discussion that runs out of entry space in less than a
week.
Final Note: this is my first post to r.a.c. and I'm not up on all the
acronyms. What does IMHO (and IMO) stand for?

Hmm. I heard that Perez was only doing an assist for Cynthia Martin (I *think*
that's her name) with the art for WotG. My store manager told me that she
up and joined the army leaving the project. Sounded to me like Perez was just
doing the best he could handling to mega-crossovers for two different companies
with alot of additional unexpected problems.
The afforementioned is all rumor of course; it's just what I heard from someone
else, so who knows, really?
