Have any of you taken the corespondence course from the art school in st paul?
The one Schulz took and worked for. Is it worthwhile, you think?

Never took the course -- but do have some older editions of some of the
workbooks. Not bad -- but the Famous Artists Schools course was better.
Save your bucks and buy used copies of the FAS commercial art course books
(try eBay) -- not the painting course or the cartooning course -- but the
commercial art course. Wonderful stuff to be found in those volumes. And
then track down all of Andrew Loomis' books. You'll learn more from
seriously studying all these than you would from any correspondence course.

My niece is taking the course. She seems to be pretty happy with it. I
had a friend back in high school ( a Lo-o-o-ong time ago ) who also took
the course. I'll have to ask him what he thought about it next time I
see him.
