MIKE LUCKOVICH has a cartoon where someone says to Bush there is no
point in off shore drilling because it will take ten years to get the
oil. What Bush says is irrelevant because 10 years MIKE LUCKOVICH
and every other Liberal was saying the there is no point in drilling
now because it will take 10 years to come on line. They say the same
thing about oil fields themselves. They said this oil well won't solve
our lack of oil so it is not needed. The same thing refineries. No one
refinery will solve our problem so build no refineries.

MIKE LUCKOVICH and the rest say unless somethings solves American
energy problem instantaneously it shouldn't be done.

Liberal are rich they don't want new sources of energy because they
make money on high energy prices. Conservatives are rich they oppose
conservation because they make money on high energy prices.

Mod'rates are poor
And the poor stay poor
Mod'rates don't want to wait any more
We want our rights and we don't care how
We want a revolution...

Sherwood, they're *moderates*.

What do we want?
INCREASED INCOME IN THREE TO FIVE YEARS!
When do we want it?
IN THREE TO FIVE YEARS!

Where is the cartoon that kicked this off in the first place? I checked
a site that had Lukovich cartoons, and didn't see any that matched the
description.

Not precisely the argument alleged by the OP, but pretty close.

The cartoon was in the July 4th issue of "The Week" a news magazine.
It was reprinted from the 6/19/08 issues of the Atlanta Constitution.
