Today was an abnormally strong day from the comics, I think,
with a lot of solidly connecting jokes even from generally pleasant
but non-hilarious strips like _Rose Is Rose_

and _Sally Forth_ sets up a surprisingly belated expansion of the
strip's universe (have we never seen Ted's family before?) very well,

but I think top honors for the day goes to _Pickles_:

Still, it's a tough call to pick a best of the day today.

I preferred yesterday's Pickles over today's.

Today's "strip to clip" (or "strip to print") for me was

For my money it was Bob the Squirrel, which caught me completely off
guard by having a very poignant strip. The art was especially good in
this one, which added to the effect. I just could not have anticipated
getting choked up by that strip, since I have never known it to do
anything serious or emotional before.

Today's SF continues the discussion. Sally's knife action speaks
volumes....
