Crockett Johnson - 100th anniversary today!

Married to Ruth Krauss for about 30 years, one of their books was "The
Carrot Seed." He died in 1975. His "Barnaby" admirers included Duke
Ellington and Dorothy Parker.

Stanford University is holding a two-day celebration of the
anniversary, as I mentioned yesterday:
