INTERESTED IN BUYING ORIGINAL ARTWORK.
Won't be setting up at the Comicfest but barring blizzards will be there
carrying a portfolio and a shopping bag of stuff for trade. Postage
$7-$10/order sorry no trades on consignment(Marked *) except to the limit
of my very low commission. Most of the 1970's-1990's strips obtained
directly from the artists and much of it is inscribed. call as always for
photocopies. Unless you are in Europe I would suggest calling as opposed
to using an email address as my Email all goes through my wife's account
at work. I get phone calls quicker-though I usually do business with
Europe by Email. NOTE: If you don't see what you're loking for send want
lists- quite often things are sold or traded before they make it to the
list. New wants from other collectors are Al Wiseman Dennis the Menace
art, Sheldon Mayer art and Herbie originals. To see any of the art write
or call and I'll send reduced photocopies. I also trade- MY TOP PRIORITY
IS PULP ART OR GOLDEN AGE QUALITY, TIMELY , DC, ALSO WANT STEVE DITKO,
TOTH, BURNLEY SUPERMAN etc. As always I'm willing to trade for
other(mainly pre-65) art especially odd DC art, Lev Gleason, Iger shop,

from Quality Comics. The Marksman, a series in Smash Comics circa 1943,
was a Modern Robin Hood Character- a hooded Bowman who fought the Nazi's.
Art in the Smash's that I have and in Bails Who's Who is credited to Alex
Koda who worked on Hack O'Hare and a number of other adventure/superhero
series from 1939-1943 at Quality and who is still alive. I have 1 page
left with Marksman in costume and action at $200, and one page with Nazi's

(From CFAAPA 1995)
I've been with the APA since issue two- missing issue one because of
either late notification or late mailing on my part. So instead of an
article, here's some information about myself and my collection.
I was born in 1950 on the far South Side of Chicago in Roseland, an area
adjacent to the historic Pullman District. My grandfather was Chief
Auditor in the Cook County Treasurer's office , where among other things
he taught the ropes of managing governmental offices to a young Dick Daley
(the senior not his son who's the current mayor). He also attended the
same church as Mae Capone, got his county job by running a failed campaign
for alderman in the notorious red light Levee district, and drank scotch
throughout Prohibition. But that's another story but is the source of my
interest in history - especially as it relates to politics, and crime.
My father started reading me comics when I was probably 5. (I was hit in

between some rowdy youths at a building site around this time. The brick
knock me out and took a portion of my early memories with it- though I
distinctly remember watching myself walk home with blood streaming down my
face.) He like most intelligent parents had grown tired of responding to
my requests for the same Little Golden Books (I was particularly fixated
on Garth Williams "The Old Sailor Dog"- ) Looking for something more
interesting to read, he discovered Carl Barks Uncle Scrooge and Donald
Duck and
