Comic strip writer Belford A. Richards has passed away.

From the above obit:
"He attended the University of MI and transferred to
Rollins College, Fla., where he graduated in 1953 with a BA.
While at Rollins College he wrote comic strip continuity for
Les Turner, artist of the Washtub Comic Strip cartoon."
So I'm guessing that he ghost wrote the daily Wash Tubbs
(officially Captain Easy by 1949) comic strip during the
early 1950s for Leslie Turner.
That Rollins College is just a few miles north of Leslie
Turner's home of the time in Orlando, Florida.
