NOTICE - SPOILERS

Somewhere strips got confused about storyline denouements
in the Tribune Media Services Universe.

In Brenda Starr the bad guy (gal) gets a done in by a deadly
version of Fats Waller's "Your Feets Too Big".

While over in Dick Tracy the bad guy(s) are apparently
handcuffed and led off to the hoosegow.

In a normal universe the bad circus people would be
under the elephant feet (or in a tiger's belly).

This may be justice, but it is certainly not Dick Tracy justice.
And since when does Brenda Starr have such vindictive conclusions?

I don't follow either of those strips, but I rather liked Zits the other
day (

) , where they alluded to a VW Microbus in winter being like an elephant
on ice skates. Back in the day, most people I knew that had them simply
parked them in winter. I remember in Dec 81 or so, driving west out of
Memphis, going through that stretch with lotsa bridges, during an ice
storm. Sure enough, came over one of the little hump bridges, and there
was a Microbus on its side, looking like an upturned pachyderm. Did I
mention it was in my lane, barely 100 yards ahead? Good thing I was
crawling at the time....
