He's someone who should be shouldering a greater than average amount of
blame and yet he isn't being targetted for the extra attention that he so
richly deserves.

What was it that Barney Frank did again? Seriously, this is
getting pathetic . . .

Prevented the meaningful and needed reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
that would have minimized their now substantial role in the current mess.

=v= Wait, I thought that was ACORN's fault. I found out about
it down at the lie-barry*, and also I have a pamphlet that I
got at GOP headquarters.

Yup, no one else involved, in his committee, or that session of
Congress, or Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac themselves . . . sarcasm here,
BTW - seems some here are sarcarsm-illiterate . . .

As Rex suggested, there are lots of places to lay the blame for the
current crisis. I'm not suggesting that Mr. Frank is solely responsible.

I am suggesting that insofar as FM/FM contributed to the problem....and
they were a significant contribution to the problem....Mr. Frank is
responsible as he [and Chris Dodd and a number of GOP/Democratic Senators
and Representatives] blocked proposed reforms that would have reduced the
size and scope of the problem.

As the cartoon in the OP suggests, Larry Craig plays a little footsie
that costs very little to the taxpayer and he is front page news for
weeks on end while the media [correctly, IMO] hounds him.

Barney Frank prevents meaningful reform that ends up costing taxpayers
and investors billions and billions of dollars and the media does little
to mention his role in the fiasco.

Like not seeing Phil Gramm's role, something the media could do some
research into . . .

Where have I suggested that Mr. Gramm was blameless?

In every response, by omission; nowhere did I see Phil Gramm's name
explicitly named, unlike Barney Frank . . .
