Is it just me, or is Seth's smile a tad too voyeuristic?

And for that matter, on the satt report, how would some random video
paparazzi know to link the practice room footage with a name? I mean, it
isn't like A&E are celebs yet (though they may get 15 minutes out of
this). It would require somebody with a keen eye who had either attended
all the competitions, or somebody who worked there. Music competitions
don't rise to the level of fanstalker interest that movie and sports
celebs do in Belgium, do they?

I'm just assuming that this is formal footage of the competitors, and
the expressions on Amos's and Edda's faces make what happened so obvious
to those who know them that you get that ecstatic response from Seth and
that pissed-off reaction from Isabel. (And the rather ambiguous
response from Juliette, even though she got a direct report from Edda...)

I second this motion. Ever see the episode of "That 70's Show where
Jackie saw the otherwise invisible "I Had Sex" all over Donna's face,
and intones, "Oh.... my..... God........ we gotta talk!" and yanks
her away, while Donna's father looks at Eric and sees "GUILTY" written
all over his face? Same concept.

One of the people on the baloon had a very professional-looking
camera, and this is a satelite feed. European television, especially
from the low countries, is notoriously open when it comes to sex; yes,
they're looking at A&E in the middle of "hot piano lovin'"!

In actuality, yes, since I have no children and would like some.

But were they fornicating or "just" making out?

Hmmm. I thought I saw a woman's undergarment on the Piano. For a
Comics.com strip that's about as risque as I have ever seen. Add in
the comment about being rampant on a bosendorfer.. and... welll... if
its making out its a bit beyond the "just" stage....

Considering Edda's and Amos's strident virginity before succumbing to

commencing with the canoodling. I wonder if Brooke will touch upon

Before Edda left for New York, she sat down with Juliette for a little
mother-daughter chat. Juliette patiently explained that Edda's
departure would mean she would be less able to provide motherly
guidance and advice. She sagely advised Edda to remember what she
has been taught and to stay true to her convictions and morals.
Juliette explained that if all else fails, there are these things
called condoms and/or birth control pills. And that Edda had better
to be prepared for if/when hormones won the war with self restraint.

It was in the letters. Don't you read them?

I'm sure that when they return to NYC, Seth will be wondering why Edda
is installing a couple of new nails in the wall over her bed. I
won't. [NSFW text]

A condom is easy enough to slip into a wallet, and anyone with an
ounce of common sense would carry one as a precaution, no matter how
"pure" they plan to be. Edda and Amos are too smart *not* to have
been prepared . . .

I dunno, it seems to me that Amos is not a "carry a rubber in the
wallet" kind of guy (besides, that's one of the best ways to guarantee
failure) and I also can't envision virginal Edda carrying one in her
purse, especially considering the icy relationship they had in the
days and hours leading up to the climax (no pun intended. Well, maybe
just a little...)

I had to go from a Catholic college to a state university before I met
girls who were "prepared" and certainly before I was.

Remember that the difference between a venial sin, which you can wish
away with an Act of Contrition, and a mortal sin, which you have to
confess to the priest or burn in the everlasting fires of Hell, is
full consent of the will. If you are packing, you've declared your
intentions and you are hell-bound.

Besides, in Catholic terms, BC isn't PC.

Does carrying insurance against your being at fault in a traffic

Actually, if you study the Catholic catechism you will see a logic to
it, as long as you accept several basic points of faith as a starting
point. I assume Judaism would contian similar logical derivation.
Can't speak for other faiths, but I would also assume a logical
structure for most of them.

Sure. Within a certain faith PoV, almost any set of rules can appear
consistent.

Well, if the Pope issued an encyclical that condemned auto insurance,
you might find some Catholics feeling that it was inappropriate to buy
auto insurance, yes.

In this case, however, the more appropriate analogy would be "does
wearing a seat belt declare your intentions to get into an accident?"
and I've heard people say, when a passenger was buckling up, "Don't
you trust my driving?"

Not recently, mind you. Seatbelts and condoms having both become more
ubiquitous.

And often in close proximity to one another. Elaine Robinson was
conceived in another era.

Still, not a great anaolgy. One drives a car for other purposes; the
seat belt is there in case there is an unforeseen incident. When a man
puts on a condom, he knows exactly what's going to happen.

We weren't talking about putting on a condom but having one with you.
It was *that* choice that was analogized to "declaring your intention"
to commit a sin. I see it more (for such people) as being prepared to
mitigate the damage should they find themselves in a situation in
which the temptation to commit the sin is overpowering. Which would
seem to put the second sin back in the "may be venial rather than
mortal" category to my non-Catholic eyes.

I'm assuming the Sam's Club jumbo pack weighs more than the Kennedy

Unless you were suggesting that she was going to use the pointy end
