Peanuts is a reprint and FBoFW is a "hybrid".
Blondie and Hagar are legacy strips, while
Beetle Bailey and Family Circus are being groomed for succession.
Garfield, Beetle and Hagar are factory/committee strips.
Zits (1997), Mutts (1994) and Baby Blues (1990) are the newest strips.

As usual my favorites did not even make the list. The list does not
surprise me. When I talk to friends I find fewer and fewer read comic
strips, and those that do read comics read their old favorites and
have no interest in trying any new comic.
