KC Carlson, DC Timemaster, and editor of Zero Hour and the Legion books was
on DC Online's chat room over at AOL last night. I tried to pry some info
about the LSH out of him, but he was pretty tight-lipped. Here's what he
had to say, though.
On the subject of renumbering the LSH and LGS books, or rather, *not*
renumbering them, he says this was a deliberate decision made to soften
the blow of the re-boot somewhat. This is meant to indicate that DC
recognizes the previous stories really did take place, somewhere, somewhen.
I asked if he had any comments regarding speculation around here that the
new Time Trapper may be a female. His only comment was "Isn't that
interesting?" Grrrr.
He was polling LSH fans as to whether DC should use Green Lanterns in the
30th C. I voted no, simply because it creates too many chances of
inconsistencies between all the books. He *did* say that they intend
Darkstars to be present in the 30th C.
On non-LSH topics:
He admits he has no idea how A2001 now fits into current post-ZH
timeline. Without alternate timelines, did this story happen? If so, how?
He dunno.
When I asked about why Max Mercury was listed on the ZH timeline as being
in the 1700's, he responded "Ask Mark Waid - BWAHAHAHAHA". Yes, folks,
he actually said "BWAHAHA".
Well, I know it's not too informative, but there you have it. I hope
they keep up this practice of having editors pop up over there. It was
actually a lot of fun!
