Me: "Two cheeseburgers, please."

Casher: "Coming right up."

A minute later.

Casher: "Here is your order. Enjoy your meal."

Me: "Thank you."

Cashier: "By the way, the cheeseburgers are sold out."

Me: "What?"

Cashier: "Yes, everything here is cooked to order so technically it's sold
out after each order is filled.

Me: "So what's the point of announcing that something is sold out? It's
always sold out whether someone order one or one hundred."

Cashier: "I just work here."
