This week in the HIPcomix Universe
Doctor Robo
have been suffering some outages recently. Well, around the time that
MCcomix launched, we started noticing some performance problems with
the sites' servers - problems that I'm told are unrelated to the
addition of the new site. We were hoping that the servers would hold
up until we could have a smooth and orderly transition to new hardware
which was scheduled to take place the week between Christmas Day and
New Year's Day. Of course, as luck would have it, our servers slipped
softly into the night a couple of weeks too early.
So, over the past week or so our crew has been working furiously to A)
remove the failed servers, B) install new hardware, C), recover files
from the old servers and transfer them to the new ones, and D) re-
upload whatever content has been lost in the shuffle. As you can
imagine, this is a daunting process considering that the two sites
combined hold roughly 25,000 individual image files, plus countless
text files for the forums and such.
As of a couple of days ago the new servers have been installed, the
sites are now back up and running, and many of the transfers have been
completed. Unfortunately there are still a few minor bugs that need to
be worked out before were are back to normal operating conditions.
These bugs include missing updates from the members gallery, missing
content in the free gallery, and missing posts in the forums. Sadly,
many of these recent additions have been lost, as the servers were
rolled back to the most recent usable backup from late November/early
December. We are working to manually re-upload much of that lost
content, but some of it - particularly in the forums - simply cannot
be recreated exactly the way it was before.
At any rate, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these
outages have caused, and we hope to have everything running at peak
efficiency over the next few days. In the meantime please excuse the
mess, and know that customer satisfaction is very important to us and
we will do everything we can to have the sites back to normal as soon
as possible.

his shaking icky hands stretching towards her...

So far, Pink Pussycat looked victorious beating up the villainous
reindeer gang. But then Madame Mynx froze Pussycat into a giant cat
ice cube. Taken back to the Santaland factory (the villains lair),
Pussycat was thawed out and strung up like a Christmas tree to be
adorned. Things got even ickier when Pussycat was left alone with the
perverted Syman Sayz who had his vile way with the poor captive kitty.
But wait! In their haste to amuse themselves with Pussycat's luscious
body, the villains forgot to deactivate her power collar. Her collar
silently sends a signal out back to her kitty den. Now her spunky
sidekick Kitten has arrived to the rescue! Or will she too walk into a
fiendish trap?

their fold. Led by Doctor Paragon, the group struggles through the
lower levels of the Aegis Foundation looking for a way to turn the tie
against the cybernetic infection. Lady Paragon, fighting a rearguard
action, finds out exactly who is behind the attack.
Meanwhile, two worlds draw ever closer as the Metrobay heroine Brown
Sugar, looking for her lost friends, finds herself in a situation
she'd rather not be in. And finally near Mars, a group of "Lurkers"
have found something broken that they can't fix.

I’ve got a treat for you today. During my poser practice time over the
spring and summer I conjured up many different scenarios of mind
controlling peril to befall the spirited crimefighter known as
American Amazon. The only problem with a lot of those scenarios was
that they only covered about 20-30 pages. Nothing much like the on-
going stories that we are all use to here at MCComix. So I have
decided to preserve them into something I like to call ‘Simple
Shorts.’ I’ll be injecting them from time to time to give the current
story a break. Origins will continue with part 2 of episode 2 next
month.
With Doc’s permission, this month’s update will be the first of many
‘Simple Shorts’!
Simple Short #1-
Anna Creech has a problem. She keeps having memory lapses and a few
bouts of forgetfulness. Thinking its stress from the job, she goes to
see an agency appointed psychologist. Her therapist discovers, after a
few sessions, that she has no one available to help her vent out the
stress and frustration that builds up from work. He decides to give
her some advice on fixing the problem. You, the fans at MCComix, have
