I was trying to figure out who has been on the most Super Teams. So
far the character I found to be with the most is actually....

Mimic. More specifically the exiles Mimic. According to the history
flashbacks he was in the

1. Brother of Mutants
2. The X-Men
3. The Avengers

then later in the issues he mentions his "less than finest hour" as a
team member of

4. The defenders

and then of course

5 The Exiles

anyone out there think of anyone that was part of 5 or more Teams?

I'm assuming the question is 'other than the ubiquitous Wolverine'?

There's Namor?

Invaders
All-Winners Squad
Avengers
Defenders
Deep Six
Illuminati
The Cabal
Dark X-Men

and now the standard X-Men.

Hercules has been in loads too if you include such groups as heroes for
Hire and Damage Control.

Dude gets around.

Hulk and Doc Strange have been in at least 5 each. Basically any of the
X-Men who have been Defenders like Havok, Angel, Iceman and Beast have
been in at least 5 each. Iron Man and War Machine have each been in over
5, maybe Captain America too.

That's just the good guys I can think of off the top of my head. Some
bad guys get around too. Sabretooth has been in at least 6 and Magneto
has been in a fair few. Even Juggernaut has been in at least 5. 5 is
pretty easy for most popular mutants.

Fallen.

Would WCA be separate from the Avengers?

Quicksilver has been a bunch also.

That's a different Mimic, IIRC.

And do we count New and Mighty as different teams?

WCA may not count as separate given that it was all part of a single
organization but New and Mighty should definitely count as
separate...at least as they were initially...since they were actually
opposing each other and had no real ties to each other.

Also the Secret Defenders (along with half the Marvel Universe)

Also the FF (when Reed was "dead")
And wasn't he in Alpha Flight briefly?

Probably why he specifically said the Exiles Mimic...616 Mimic has
only been in three that I can think of (X-Men, Brotherhood, & Dark
X-Men)

I'd count em all as seperate, and Dark Avengers too. Seperate group,
seperate location, seperate leadership, own comic. S why the mutants can
manage it so easily X-Men, X-Factor, Excalibur, X-Force, New Mutants,
Dark X-Men, Generation X, X-Statix, X-Corps maybe even the X Corporation
and some others. For the flip floppers there's the Brotherhood and the
Hellions. Throw in the Starjammers too I guess and even the Exiles
seeing as the OP liked to include such oddness. As soon as mutants step
outside the mutant titles and into other groups they usually pass 5 with
ease. Beast and Angel especially as they've just joined the newly formed
X Club (Science Squad) to add another one imo.

He 'might' count as a memeber of Excalibur, not a solid case though.

Of course Dark Avengers counts as seperate...they aren't even really
Avengers at all...and the rest of your list would be considered
seperate too (except X-Corps and Corporation since that was basically
just the x-men)...and I wouldn't count the X-club either since it's
just a subset of the X-Men...it would be a little like counting
Astonishing and Uncanny X-Men as seperate teams...and that would be
taking it too far.

I don't know, I wouldn't count the different x-men teams either but do
the science members of X-Club consider themselves X-Men or jut part of
the science squad?

Technically the new X-Force is just a subset of the X-Men too but I'd
count them.

He hung around with the team for like 4 issues or something after they
rescued him. Never wore a uniform or anything so I wouldn't really count
it. (Some of the official 'Who's on the Defenders' list were in 1 issue
at best though :) )

It's a matter of degree I suppose...X-Force is different enough to be
considered a seperate team...although I might feel differently if they
didn't have their own book.

X-Club? Is there an X-Chess Club and X-Marching Band also?
