Just read the latest issue of X-Men, and evidently they've made
Magneto a young twenty-something again. Now I'm just wondering how long
until they make Xavier young as well, and the whole cycle begins again...

I don't think they made Magneto young...that's just the way he's being
drawn at the moment...but I guess it could have been a side effect of
his power recharge.

And Xavier needs to be killed off...it's way past time.

In the latest Uncanny he uses an ambiguous phrase "I was reborn,
recharged like a man of twenty again".

He doesn't seem to be being drawn like a man of twenty though, he'd look
more like Joseph did, but he certainly isn't old either so maybe he got
a few years back again.

And there's always the artist to consider. Land is not known for his

This has all happened before and will all happen again.

Last I saw him, he had been depowered, then repowered by the thing
known as Sublime, which also took over his body (possibly; this issue
of New Avengers was pretty hard to follow), who was also apparently
Xorn, maybe; after one or both were defeated, and Magneto was taken
into custody, the helicopter taking him away was blown up, by who was
never shown; it was a pretty blatant "he shall return", ending, tho...

I'm assuming his return in X-Men mentions none of this, he simply has
his powers back? That's par, these days, but probably also sensible.

He's definitely not young any longer. Nearly killed himself in one of the
recent books trying to pull off a few standard tricks after showing up at
his old island base and made very specific mention of his age being the
reason for his difficulties.

He showed up in Uncanny #500 using technology to fake his powers and
distract the X-Men while the High Evolutionary (whom he had teamed up
with) swiped something from the Dreaming Celestial who hangs out in
San Francisco...next we saw him, the High Ev. used some machine to
restore Mag's powers but it blew up in the process so it was
supposedly a one shot deal...now Mag just showed up in Uncanny
praising Cyclops for uniting mutantkind...of course, he's bound to
still be up to something, but we don't konw what.
