Last they got made up a team of inventory characters, Marvel was prepping
them to become the Dark Avengers. I honestly cannot see what they could do
with the current line-up and the stories are boring as hell.

It's been pretty lame since they gutted it in favor of Dark
Avengers...and I honestly wasn't a huge fan of Warren Ellis' run
before that...but Jeff Parker just took over an issue ago and he might
be able to turn it around (though he hasn't gotten off to a great
start, in my opinion).

I actually liked the Warren Ellis run a *lot*.

I love Parker's "Agents of Atlas" a whole bunch, so I'm sticking with
it for the time being.

I'm wondering if this is something that will change post-SIEGE into
something else.

I liked his treatment of the new additions to the cast...but I hated
what he did with the traditional Thunderbolts.

I love Agents of Atlas too...and they are supposed to be facing off
against the Thunderbolts soon...so I'll stick with the book for a
while longer, anyway.

By all rights, Dark Avengers should be ending (which would leave its
cast up for grabs)...but, given it's popularity, my guess is it will
keep going one way or another.

I kind of liked the real Thunderbolts team Diggle started to put
together at the end of his run (including Natasha Romanov) and would
like to see Parker do something with them...something a little more in
line with Busiek's original run...I would think it would suit Parker's
sensibilities better than the current version.

...Ellis was the reason I dropped it just prior to him taking it over.
But then again I haven't bought anything Ellis has put out since the
"Ministry of Space" delay fiasco, where he came up with something like
23 different lies and excuses for the delay. Damn thing sounded like
when Henry listed all the excuses Klinger was trying to use to get a
discharge.
