Shes fine and far more interesting as she is. She doesn't show up often,
but I expect her in Siege or Initiative crossovers somewhere.

I don't even remember who she's supposed to be. Is she actually
connected to Thor? Does she care that Asgard is back?

Thor Girl is an human appearing alien named Tarene. She is prophesied to
be the 'Designate' and help Civilization advance to the next level of being
(she's a 4th stage lensman maybe). After interacting with Thor she gets
hero-worship type crush and models herself after him, using her cosmic
power to take on an Asgardian form. Later on, she sacrifices most of her
cosmic power to save the universe, and now just has your basic Asgardian
powers, more or less.

She was interesting up to this point.

Part of Marvel's ongoing process of showing breasts on all their male
characters.

Didn't she turn out to be a Skrull in Avengers The Initiative?

I suppose Mr. Fantastic is immune because he's married, but I'm having
trouble thinking of other characters who haven't gone through the
process.

Why yes she did, but the real one's back now.

Conan's an obvious one. ~_^

Doctor Bong is another.

And Shuma-Gorath...would proably tear more than a few envelopes to shreds.
^_^!

But I think the artists/writers would really be in trouble (or the money)
if someone programmed Mastermold to produce female sentinels with
'hypno-sonic devices' intended to attract (male) mutants - with the number
of 'robosexuals' out there (and, therefore, the Marvel Universe), you'd
have a lot of (literal) crushes on your hands.

(And this is why I shouldn't write for comix) X3

If we're going to admit Conan as a Marvel character, we have to admit
Red Sonja the She-Conan too. Likewise, Groo and Grooella.

I suppose I should have said, I can't think of *title* characters who
don't have she-variants. I don't recall any She-Captain Americas,
though.

That's actually pretty inventive. Why didn't the Skrulls try it?
They'd successfully reproduced Spider-Woman with all her pheremones,
after all. Skrulls thought this character was so cool, it was
reserved for the Empress... and maybe that's why.

Back in the Cap-wolf and Teen-Cap days didn't he turn into a girl also?
If not, isn't there is a female version in MC2

The MC2 Universe with Spidergirl has a female Captain America...I
believe she even had her own mini series not all that long ago.

American Dream a.k.a. Shannon Carter, neice of the Sharon Carter of that
universe. I think the trend will continue as Black Panther is now a
woman and soon classic characters Phantom and Kato will be female.

Isn't Pepper Potts running around in Iron Man armor in the Iron Man
books too? Not that this is anything new to comics...Supergirl,
Batgirl, Namora, Spiderwoman, Ms. Marvel, etc...they've been putting
out female versions of their popular male characters almost since the
beginning...by the way, anyone know if Namora was the first of these?
Because I think she actually predates even all of DC's attempts.

Copyright issues have prevented female versions of Wonder Man and
Power Man, as a cheeky gag in What If v1#34 illustrated...

A little more seriously, I don't think there have been straight-ahead
female versions of Daredevil, Dr. Strange, Iron Fist, or most of the
male X-Men...

Hawkgirl has Namora beat by almost six years.

She *was* although Tony just had his friends cut her repulsor out and
dismantle her armor, which could function on it's own.

Daredevil I'll grant you...but Strange, Iron Fist, and most of the
male X-Men may not be high enough profile to warrant feminization (for
lack of a better term)...they've either never had their own books or
have gone years without one...although I do seem to vaguely recall a
version of the X-Men from an Exiles story where all the genders were
reversed.

I stand corrected then...though wasn't she more or less introduced
WITH Hawkman? If so, it's not really the same thing (despite
appearances).

...Which reminds me of what I had to say about Chaykin's "Hawkgirl"
