This beautiful watercolor by noted environmentalist Paul Chadwick
creator/artist of Concrete was purchased directly from Chadwick at a local
comic convention. This page is 9"x12", though my scanner didn't quite pick
the entire page up. It is absolutely beautiful. This unpublished painting is
done on Heavy Duty Watercolor Stock; is Signed and Dated in Ink (though you
can't see it in the scan) and comes from Chadwick's personal collection. It
features Concrete in a lush forest setting being handed an envelope by a
little boy. Story here (as explained to me by Chadwick himself) is that the
little boy is actually Chadwick's son who enjoys placing paper-clips all
over his father's envelopes before handing them over to him. This piece is a
must for the avid Concrete collector and is currently at $102 with a week
left in the auction.
