Original pastel “reproduced in tintogravure”
This is, ostensibly a calendar, but it’s closer to a piece of art
It’s a lovely Moran of a scantily clad young patriot in red, white, and blue
(although not much of each). The calendar is actually hidden behind the
print,
and is not visible. The piece itself measures 9x7½, with what appears to be
a
matte surrounding the print. The print is actually on top of a backer
sheet, which
to the eye looks like a matte. There is a cloth ribbon attached to the
piece above
the art. This comes with the original envelope and the original insert
which
discusses the piece, and the painting of the artwork. A more beautiful
Moran
piece you just won’t see. The piece is very nearly mint, with only slightly
rounded corners on the backer behind the art, (and nowhere near it)
