        For Immediate Release: Chris Ring, the Creator/Writer/Artist
of the "CarbonKnight" comic book series, will be doing a book signing

on Saturday, Sept. 19th from 11:00 to 3:00 pm at Comic Castle Inc.,

17 West 4th Street (Center City) Williamsport. Pennsylvania...

 

        The signing is to launch the release of Ring's 4th issue in the series.
This much anticipated Double-Sized Issue, is the exciting Conclusion to
the Origin series. Readers will get twice the art and story in a prestige
perfect bound cover, without paying twice the cover price... As well
Signing & Personalizing his comic books, Chris will be doing "Original
Sketches" for his fans, and comic collectors alike (just for showing up),
& everyone will get a chance to win one of eight (8) Original Art pages
which will be given away as door prizes. Four of the pages will be page
#1 of each of the four "CarbonKnight" comic books, the other four will
be the winner's choice... Fans of all ages, & aspiring comic book artist

                                 BIOGRAPHY

 
Chris Ring-  Creator/Writer/Artist of CarbonKnight series for Lunar
Studios...  Written in Silver Age tradition, Carbon Knight is quickly
becoming a favorite Pennsylvania legend, and with it's grass roots

support is now distributed nationally.

 
       Largely a self-taught artist, Chris started cartooning the humor strip
"Behind the Eightball" while still in college at St. Joseph's University in
Phila., PA. After a seven year run with "Behind the Eightball", Chris set
his sights on the comic book market with the creation of CarbonKnight,
a character born out of the underground mine fires in Centralia, PA...

 
       Since the premier issue, Chris has traveled extensively doing
conventions, store signings, demonstrations, radio, television and news-
paper interviews to promote comics, science fiction, and fantasy art.
Most of the CarbonKnight books have sections devoted to showcasing
other Pennsylvania artists from young beginners to veteran professionals.
Chris's original art has also raised money for such charities as "Make-a-
Wish" Foundation and "Habitat for Humanity".

 
      Chris works out of a studio in Northumberland , PA where, as a
commercial artist, produces art for T-shirt designs, advertising, text
books, greeting cards along with his comic books. Chris lives with

his wife, Tina, & their two children, Jansen & Victoria, in Elysburg, PA.
