===============
Jeff is currently on page 7 of LSH #89.
Jeff had done 4 covers in the past week. Jeff has redone the
cover to L* #44, and done the covers for L* #46, #47, and LSH
#91. Jeff redid the cover to L* #44 because they didn't know
what the story was about until after the cover was done and
because the cover editor decided that he didn't like the original
cover one month later.
Jeff is doing the cover to LSH #91 to balance out Alan Davis'
work on the cover to L* #32.
Jeff completes the covers before he starts on the interiors.
That way the covers can be used for promotion in PREVIEWS and
other places.
Jeff thinks that Spark resembles Olympian Amanda Borden, but
concedes that Spark is the cuter of the two.
Jeff is pencilling LSH #89. His brother Phil Moy is doing fill-
in pencils for L* #45.
Jeff reported that Phil is moving pretty fast on the pencils to
L* #45 and was on page 8. Jeff joked that Jeff would have to
throw a spanner. He also joked that he hoped fans would not like
Phil's work more than Jeff's.
Jeff likes to listen to the radio, rock music, or soundtrack
scores to get him in the mood to draw. He's been listening to
the APOLLO 13 score a lot.
Jeff's favorite villain to draw is Emerald Violet.
When asked if there was any ill will among the creative team,
Jeff noted with a smile, "You'll see."
Jeff promised tongues in L* #42. LSH #89 has an Ayla tongue.
Jeff likes Inferno. He thinks that her presence really gives the
book an edge. He did think that the character needs more
development.
Jeff promised that there were some really fun stories coming up.
Jeff refused to comment on what happened to Shvaughn Erin's
flight ring in LSH #85. He joked that it was the writers' job to
lie to fans about the ring.
LSH #89 is a spotlight on Spark. There is no villain in the
story, except for maybe a cameo. The other Legionnaires will
appear in the story.
LSH #89 is about Spark adjusting to inner and outer conflict. He
refused to give away too much about the story because it is a
character-building story.
Jeff indicated that Spark will be wearing casual clothes in an
upcoming issue. When asked whether she would be wearing an AC/DC
concert shirt, Jeff told fans to "Think Macarena."
Jeff indicated that two of the upcoming covers for L* #47 and LSH
#91 are crossover covers, and that fans will look at them and
think "poster."
Shrinking Violet won't get rid of the Emerald Eye yet. He noted
that she just can't get away. He also indicated that there was a
very obscure clue in L* #43.
Jeff indicated that he gets to draw Ferro on a bunch of stuff.
He declined to say whether he was drawing Ferro as a statue, but
did remark that Ferro can be stiff.
