DC Comics has appointed Judd Winick the new Editor-in-Chief. Timed to
coincide with the release of Blackest Night #8, this kicks-off DC's
Brightest Day campaign.

I guess we all should have seen this coming after Dan DiDio accepted a
promotion. I don't see how he's going to be able to manage this at
the same time he's writing Power Girl and JLI.

I suppose it could be worse - there could have been some 'big events'
planned along the lines of a certain 'comic strip switcheroo' or Marvel's
Assistant Editors' Month.

Could you imagine reading the Adventures of Mxyzptlk, Batmite: Gotham Mites
or even a 'Larry's World' issue of (Teen) Titans?

How about an Omnibus edition of Archie's Madhouse or Marvel's What The?! or
even a nude/hentai edition of your favorite mainstream or indie
comics/manga?

Pranks *are* part and parcel of the fun but there's also something to be
said about the creativity behind each prank. (Some have been better than
others)

And I think we can all be glad (or sad) that it only comes once a year. ^_^

Signed,
Warewolf
who could have joined in on the fun this year but didn't.
