I wish DC would try to put some hot creators on a new Marvel Family book, I
liked Jerry Ordways writing but the art was'nt going to appeal to many young
fanboys, was it?

I agree.

But I have some criticims of how the Marvel family has been modernized. I
don't like the idea that Captian Marvel's power is diminished if Mary Marvel
and Capain Marvel jr. are active too.

And the idea that Captain Marvel jr. can't say his own name is silly and
overplayed.

I loved Jerry Ordway idea with the Marvel's. I was looking forward to them
being part of the All Star Squadron, but that was very short lived. Oh well.

Maybe...depends on what you mean by "hot creators."

For instance, I shudder to think of the Marvel Family drawn
in 'kewl' fashion, all snarls and cleavage. But I think some
of the artists working on, say, Alan Moore's ABC line have
a neat style that'd translate to the Big Red Cheese.

I just hope that they show up in a monthly again. They recently created a
Marvel family message board on the DC Comics AOL site, hopefully we can get
some guest appearances or mini series in the future.

Mike Carlin said, upon POS' cancellation, that it would be quite a while before
they tried again.

Those present in the DC Chat Room at the time.

Damn those fanboys. I loved Jerry's run as writer/artist on the title. The art
work looked great and the stories were decent when not connected to some
stupid crossover.

This was a plot complication that was resolved within the series. Now
all three are of set (if not equal) power level.

Cap Jr. has had this problem since he was first created back in the
40's! It's one of the things that makes the character who he is. Now
using "CM3" to get around this problem... FEH! :)

And don't get me starting on Shazam impersonating George Carlan for a
while :)

Listen, the best shot the Marvels have right now is the Alex Ross/Paul Dini
one-shot in 2001. Maybe that will revitalize the franchise.
