(I sent this from my regular newsserver on Thursday night, but it hasn't shown
up yet. I bet it will eventually, but since this deserves to be seen oh, NOW,
I'm reposting this. I'll fix the problems next time by posting from a
different newsserver, perhaps Dejanews. My apologies, since you'll see this
twice.)

Tom McCraw (LSH/L* co-plotter/colorist) and Jeff Moy (L* penciller) were the
guests on America Online's Legionnaires Chat for Thursday, January 8th, 1998.
Legion of Super-Heroes Chat takes place every Tuesday in the DC Comics Online
area of AOL at 6:00 PM EST. Legionnaires Chat is held every Thursday in the
same area at 10:00 PM EST. (Keyword: CHAT DC.) Regular guests include Tom
McCraw, Tom Peyer, Jeff Moy, Jason Armstrong, Ron Boyd and Mike McAvennie.

Thanks to T. Troy McNemar who originated the Legion Chat Reports; so much of
the format of these writeups was derived from his hard work.

DISCLAIMER: I can't guarantee the reliability of this report. Essentially, the
Legion chats involve about thirty-five fans shouting repeated questions to the
creators. The creators are sometimes unable to answer questions thoroughly or
clarify their responses. As a result, misinterpretations may occur on my part.

SPOILERS: Information that spoils current or upcoming issues is found toward
the end of this report. There's no spoiler space to separate such info from
the more general comments.

SUBSCRIPTIONS: To subscribe to these chat reports, send an e-mail to
"majo...@mlists.com" with the message "subscribe lsh-chats". To unsubscribe,
send the message "unsubscribe lsh-chats" to the same address.

PLUGS: To subscribe to Lev Kalman's humorous LSH pics, send an e-mail to
"majo...@mlists.com" with the message "subscribe lev-pics". You'll get a new
cartoon e-mailed to you about once per week.

:=========================:

Tom did the color guides to CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #1's enhanced cover (now
available for download on DC Online). It was a rare chance to color Dawnstar,
among others, and of course Tom was very pleased to do so.

Silverale is a clear beer; kono juice is a great-tasting ale whose ingredients
haven't been determined by the Legion creators. The minimum drinking age
differs from world to world.

The Time Trapper's interest in XS results from her ability to travel through
the timestream. The creators hope that Mark Waid will write her into the
upcoming Flash story "Chained Lightning".

Inferno will be sticking around the 20th century DCU for at least a while. Her
most recent appearance was a cameo in TEEN TITANS #17; Tom suggests that fans
write to that title's editor if they want her to become a member.

The LSH guest appearance in GREEN LANTERN #98-99 will not affect the Legion
very much.

Another time slip story is on its way.

We'll soon see the reason for the Legion Outpost (I mean the space station, and
not the lettercol).

Gim Allon is still an important part of the Legion-- see LSH #102 for details.

Finally, from the "It's a Good Thing Troy Isn't Reporting on THIS!" Dept.:
Spark only has her lightning now: not the "Light Lass" powers.

They're not the only one's...

Good. I wonder if Marz'll get the point this time?

Any point on when we see the point of the letter col then?

Creepy...

Ah, good. I thought I'd missed something.
