===============

Brainiac 5 appears in this year's SUPERGIRL ANNUAL.

Tom was hopeful that the Legion would receive a SECRET FILES
issue. He thought that the team had a few secrets that could be
revealed.

Jeff was pleased that he got to draw a beach scene on the cover
for COMBO #30. He noted that fans should keep asking for an
issue of the Legion at the beach if they want to see one.

The character behind Invisible Kid on the cover to COMBO #30 is
Magno. Jeff noted that Magno's hair is miscolored.

Jeff doesn't keep notes on how to draw each character, but he
does have ideas about how each of them should be depicted.

Tom got his first job writing for DC by submitting a story
outline to then Legion editor Michael Eury. Eury assigned Tom a
fill-in story to write.

Jeff observed that Triad Orange was shy and indecisive while
Triad Mixed was calm and collected.

Either Jeff or LSH penciller Lee Moder usually design the new
costumes for the Legionnaires. Jeff indicated that the vertical
stripe design will continue in future Legionnaires' costumes.

Tom noted that Inferno had never been an official member of the
Legion.

Tom liked all the symbols for the Legionnaires that appeared on
the Mission Monitor Board. He indicated that he would have to
ask Jeff to draw them more often.

Tom indicated that if fans don't like the "Umbra" name, that they
need to voice their disapproval. He didn't seen many comments
from people that didn't like the name when it first appeared.

Jeff observed that Tellus' race was still around and had been
seen in some of the backgrounds.

Tom believed that Timber Wolf was the pre-Zero character whose
return was the most requested by fans.

Tom would like to do something with Karate Kid sometime.

Tom indicated that there was no limit to the number of
Legionnaires that could join the team. It depended on how many
they were able to handle effectively.

Tom thought that some of M'Onel's world seeding history was still
intact. He observed that Cargg was apparently seeded by him.

Tom promised that Andromeda would never be completely out of the
picture. Jeff claimed that he didn't care for Andromeda's new
costume because it covers too much. He pointed out that a leggy
nun was somewhat contradictory.

Tom would like to do a story with the Dominators eventually. He
pointed out that XS hates them. XS met the Dominators before she
developed her powers.

Tom indicated that they wouldn't tell a Dark Circle story until
they had a good story to tell.

The creative team has discussed the possibility of an Umbra
spotlight issue.

Jeff indicated that we would see Lori Morning again before we see
Rond Vidar.

Tom could not yet say anything about Thunder, who appears on the
L* #50. She originally appeared in POWER OF SHAZAM ANNUAL #1.

Tom was not certain whose idea it was to put Thunder on the
poster, although he thought it might have been KC's idea. Tom
was in favor of her inclusion right away.

Tom indicated that Star Boy had not somehow derived his
mysterious extra powers from Thunder. Star Boy just can't drive
a cruiser very well. Tom observed that Star Boy is not in a
hurry to rid himself of the extra powers.

Tom was not sure if Billy Batson was supposed to be the source of
Thunder's powers. He thought it was unclear whether the wizard
was Billy Batson or someone else.

Tom stated that L* #51 would continue to wrap up the Mordru
storyline. Jeff promised that the issue would have a two panel
Karate Kid action sequence, although he doesn't win.

Tom had just plotted a Dreamer scene for L* #56.

Jeff was working on L* #54. He'd just drawn a scene of New York
in the 40's.

Jan will be learning more about his powers and the elements that
he transmutes.

Shrinking Violet will be modifying her costume because of the new
powers. She may be getting a new costume later.

The mystery girl on the poster will appear in L* #53.

Note that this is written by Peyer and is canonical (or so I was told.)

I want her to go by "Hecate." :)

At least you've had a bone thrown to you. I'd settle for an annual
starring Tim right now.

We need Sun Boy! (Dirk Morgna, that is.)
You know, if you consider the earliest days of
the pre-boot LEgion (i.e. pre-Shooter), all but one of those
characters has been made a member or a regular supporting-cast
member. (not counting the obvious Superboy/Supergirl problem.)
Even Tenzil and Chuck, although not members, are regulars
in the clubhouse (and made it to the poster). Gim was at least
a member for quite some time before he died.
All but one. That one is Sun Boy. If they're
going to come that close to getting all of them, they might
as well finish the job. Seems like Sun Boy fans are being
left out of their considerations.
If you go back and read the earliest LEgion appearances,
it is apparent that Sun Boy was one of the major defining
members.
I want Sun Boy. (to be in the LEgion that is, all other
interpretations invalid. :^) )

Really? Is this something beyond the foreshadowing in the LSH annual?
