Tom McCraw (co-plotter/colorist) and Ron Boyd (LSH Inker) were the guests on
America Online's Legion of Super-Heroes Chat on Tuesday, October 3, 1995.
LSH Chat is held every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. ET in the DC Online chat area of
AOL. Previous guests have included Mark Waid, Tom Peyer, Tom McCraw, Roger
Stern, Jeff Moy, Ron Boyd, KC Carlson and Mike McAvennie.

DISCLAIMER - Because of the nature of the chats, it is rarely possible to
ask clarifying questions. Information presented herein is for entertainment
and discussion purposes only. It should not be relied upon.

SPOILERS - Spoiler information is presented at the end of the report. This
week only, there is intervening spoiler space.

SPECIAL THANKS - To Andrew Woodard (and his sister) and Lev Kalman for
supplying copies of the chat log from which this report was generated.

==============================

The LSH Archives are still on hold. (And be sure to drop a line to either
"dcco...@aol.com" or "dcod...@aol.com" if you'd like to see Volume 6 of
the Archives--Fatal Five, Death of Ferro Lad, Adult LSH, and (possibly)
Legion in Chains.)

They're trying to get a postboot poster done.

The main goal for the Legion is fun.

There will be at least two Showcase '96 stories next year.

There are no plans for the Subs, but Tom is always pushing for them. He
admits that there were times that he liked the Subs more than the regular
Legion.

Ferro (Lad) is still on hold for now. Jan (Element Lad) Arrah isn't a
member right now because President Chu won't allow it. Dirk (Sun
Boy/Inferno) Morgna is a Lite Brite for now. Andromeda just wants to be
left alone for now.

Superboy may appear again sometime, but not too soon.

No plans to introduce a Green Lantern soon. Rond will not be a Green
Lantern when we're introduced to him.

Tom would like to see a Supergirl/Matrix crossover.

Almost everything else is quasi-SPOILER stuff

SPOILERS?

SPOILERS?

SPOILERS?

Tom jokes that Lyle did save the day in Legionnaires #31, we just didn't see
him. He noted that the fans are claiming that Lyle invisibly redirected the
Philosopher's Stone to Triad Orange, but the creators didn't plan it that way.

Tom claims that no one will be teasing Chuck Taine--he's too "SMART" for
that now.

Brainiac 5 will be needing his force field belt real soon.

We'll have to see who's sending Ayla presents before the Ayla/Vi storyline
can be pursued.

Tom responded that Star Boy "will have his own powers" when asked whether
Star Boy would have Daxamite powers. Tom notes that Thom "might" have
super-strength.

Tom predicts that what is done with Zoe will be a big surprise. She will
meet someone very important to preboot history in LSH #76. That meeting
will be the character's first postboot appearance. The character did appear
in one of the Great Darkness issues. Ron notes that she also meets someone
important to Tex Avery.

Zoe will have long, flowing red hair. Tom teases/hints that part of the
change to Zoe may involve a gender switch. (ED - I'm about this last item,
and decided not to report it in prior weeks. However, at this point the
comments have been made with enough frequency and consistency that they
deserve mention here.)

Tom didn't like the profem story.

Apparition will stay dead for now--unless things change.

Hockey Girl--the mysterious female that appears on the covers of LSH #75 and
L* #31--is a new character.

Valor will be given something to do.

A Fatal Five story is in the works.

Did anyone let the guys know that he's already appeared?!?

I'm sure Brainy would like to see that, too. ;-)

Sepculation: Chuck invented the bouncing serum this time around?

Hey, if Meda comes back and catches him with Supergirl, you'd expect it...

Does this mean that it will be pursued, he asked? Speculation?

I would imagine that his new "maybe" super-strength may be tied in more
naturally with his gravity powers.

Ooohhh... It's times like these when I *really* miss my collection. Ideas,
anyone?

Woody Woodpecker?!?

So Jan will have a new love interest... ;-)

Oh, now there's stick-to-itedness for you! :)

Huh? Was this a joke? Hockey Girl?

> Valor will be given something to do.

A mission somewhere in the vicinity of the Talok system would be nice...

> A Fatal Five story is in the works.

Yes! However, they'll need to work fast to fit in the other members soon.
(Unless they change it to a new FF -- like maybe Mano, Regulus, Lightning
Lord, Tangleweb (I shudder to think it) and Roxxas (hey, he could have
survived...)).

As always Troy, thank you for your work.

So she meets Mordru and becomes the new Glorith, eh? I guess that's
OK.
