===============
Jeff has done some work on two issues of EXCALIBUR and the total
page count is 5 pages.
The art from "Watch This Space" #27 is by Jeff and Cory Carani,
and is from L* #43. Tom thought that KC Carlson had written the
text.
Tom thought the Showcase '96 Ultra Boy story fit in continuity
somewhere between LSH #85 and LSH #87. Tom didn't know that Ron
was slipping his AOL screen name into the Ultra Boy story.
Tom pointed out that Stuart Immonen fans can see his rendering of
the Legion in FINAL NIGHT.
Tom likes former LSH artist Steve Lightle's work.
Tom promised that he will never get sick of the Legion.
Tom indicated that the universal translation devices that are
claimed to be in the Legion flight rings in FINAL NIGHT #1 work
in conjunction with the Legionnaires' telepathic earplugs.
Patrick Martin is still coloring the Legion covers.
Tom indicated that fans should hold their breath for Legion
action figures any time soon.
The Legion will be getting a DC-sponsored web site soon. Mike
Leib is working on it. Tom opined that the site is looking very
good so far.
The green costume that Kinetix made for Shrinking Violet back in
L* #23 wasn't foreshadowing of Emerald Violet but rather homage
to the green costume that Vi wore in the preboot.
Tom indicated that his coloring work varied depending on what he
was working on. For example, the format of the Legion titles
have more colors available than the format of IMPULSE.
Jeff promised that Kinetix plays a major role in L* 42.
When asked about the statue in LSH Annual #7, Tom asked whether
fans wanted Gates to die. He stated that there's not telling
when or if Gates would receive a statue.
When asked why Kinetix was not in the group shot in LSH Annual
#7, Tom indicated that fans would have to wait to see what
happens.
Tom stated that there was a good possibility that the 20th
century Legionnaires would meet the JLA and Impulse. The JLA
meeting would depend on whether the JLA team lets the Legion in
on something that's planned.
Tom is still trying to convince Tom Peyer to use the Metal Men,
and Peyer is weakening.
The Legion team has approached Dan Jurgens about an LSH/Teen
Titans crossover, but Jurgens has plans for a year's worth of
Titans books.
Tom indicated that Wonder Woman villain Dr. Psycho will fight the
20th century Legion.
When a fan requested that the Legion needed more cosmic entities,
Jeff indicated that the Legion will have a big villain soon.
There are plans for Computo, but Tom asked fans not to tell
Triad.

Hey, DC! Gimme Legion figures or I'll hold my breath until I turn
blue!
Somehow I don't think that's what Tom meant. Did a "not" slip loose
somewhere?

My guess? The Infinite Man.

I think that killing one of the Lus as they are established now
would ruin the character balance. (Unless they kept purple and
orange, but they acted like neutral when merged. . . hmmmm.)

Of course he should get a statue!
Unless he turns out to be a spy or an infiltrator for the
Red Square marxist front (counterparts to the White Triangle
and Dark Circle), Gates should definitely get a statue when
he/she/it dies of old age, surrounded by a whole army of
teleporting progeny...

Shouldn't that be the Legion of Super-Marxists?
Dave Doty
Which, his progeny or the organization he is spying for?
Oh, I get it; that's what he would re-name the team if he's
elected leader!
Darn! Maybe I should've voted for Tir as team leader...
