Now you must understand that I didn't write that story primarily out
of anger or hate. Well, I'm pretty mad. But the main point is that
Martin would probably not want us writing about his characters and I
wanted to deal with the unpleasantness in a way that would open up
stories rather than close them.
So here are some of the stories I'm writing next:
LNH20 Comics Presents #15: This issue: An LNHer dies! Another must
betray his most cherished principles to vanquish the ultimate foe!
And--actually, if you're on the writer's group you pretty much know
what's happening in this issue. I hope we wrap this up soon. At least
we'll have a proper ending now.
Ultimate Mercenary v20 #4: Ultimate Mercenary is still struggling to
adjust to his new world. January Frost is still trying to figure out
what to do with him. Pantra is still Pantra. Featuring: Subplots!
Exposition! Food fights!
LNH Comics Presents #507: Devastator: Who He Is And How He Came to Be!
Just who is the Monarch of Masculinity, and how did he join the LNH?
Why does he talk so funny? What the heck is an "Omni-Blade?" These and
more questions are answered here!
System Corruptors #: The Queen's Tale. At long last, the true history
of the Crossover Queen. A tale of triumph, tragedy, retcons, and
blatant shoujo anime ripoffs.
Legion of Net.Heroes volume 2 #52: Jenny Everywhere and the Legion of
Net.Heroes. The return of the greatest hero you've never heard of. The
return of another hero you have heard of, but is he still a hero?
Featuring more continuity than you can shake the OHOTMU at and some
giant monsters. (Or maybe just one.) And a plot dangler from Ultimate
Mercenary actually gets resolved!

I think it would have been more tasteful to send Hands-of-Writers to pluck characters out of the story, rather than vent wrath upon a Writer. But I am glad to see your creativity's been stimulated.
Let's take a look, if you will, at the Second Amendment of the
Constitution, which protects every American's right to shoot another
American. This cherished constitutional right to shoot people and make
them dead is currently recognized in all fifty states, most recently
Florida.

Fair point. Though I think we were past the point of tastefulness once
the Flaming Torch showed up.

Uh oh, you got me thinking of Jimmy Flamer. Anyone remember him? ... Me neither. I had to look up his appearances just now, and I'm his writer. But I left him roaming SW10. (http://www.eilertech.com/stories/2010/waitress.htm) I might have to send him back to his homeworld, ideally holding a murderous alien on a leash. (Fantastic Four reference.) Now, wherever shall I find murderous aliens? Might there have been some bred on... Venus!?
... heh, now I might have to write another 2011 story soon, perhaps while I'm on a train next week. Trains are often a bit bumpy for proper cartooning, but computers still work fine.

All of Jimmy Flamer's enemies died on the way back to his home planet. u-u

Woo!
Andrew "NO .SIG MAN" "Juan" Perron, MORE EXPLOSIONS VERSION
So I was thinking that what to do about Martin's legacy should be put
up to vote, but it wouldn't really be fair if people didn't know what
I had in mind to replace it. So I figure I'll write the relevant
stories and then let the group decide whether or not they stick. How
does that sound?
AJM (has too many stories to write, better than not enough)

From what I've seen of Author's Rights discussions on this group, a vote will affect your stories more than your stories will affect a vote.

Sounds good to me. Retcons can always be mananged.
Andrew "NO .SIG MAN" "Juan" Perron, as long as one cares about one's fellow
community members.

Well, since the only real sacred rule the LNH has is 'Don't mess with someone's characters if they don't want them to be messed with,' I'd probably say that the only person who should decide whether or not Martin's characters exist on Looniverse 'Classic' is Martin...
I think an alternate Looniverse where Martin's characters existed and disappeared would probably be a better idea..
I suppose if anyone here is still on speaking terms with Martin they could always e-mail about what he wants done...

A timeline that, thanks to the Beige Midnight split, we could
currently be in.
Adrian (yes, yes, I know I said I wouldn't say anything more about
that)

heh. I've wondered what I'd do if RACC ever turned on me, say for how I victimized people's characters in Powernaut 1944. Then I realized I'd just say "I'm sorry, let's fix it", and then we'd be friends again. 8{D>

I actually could, but I feel that power should not be wasted on the concerns of a newsgroup he's left behind.
