The LNH Roster has pretty much been dead
since 1998... so I was thinking that
maybe there could be an LNH wiki that
any would could edit stuff in...

So last week I was checking out some
free wikis and made one...

http://lnh.atwiki.com/

It's not the greatest thing... and I'm
sure someone out there could find a
better one (or create a better one), but
until that happens I guess people can
use this one...

It's a bit of a mess now... I've copied
some of the LNH Roster to it, but not
all of it...

People can also add Writers, Injokes, and
whatever LNH related stuff they want...

It gives you a choice of what format you
want to edit stuff in... I'd use wiki
format since that seems easier to write
stuff in than html... Can't figure out
how to change the editing formats after
you've created a page though... the Front
Page seems to be stuck in html editing
format...

You might need to get an account to do some
stuff...

Just from a glimpse, I can't help but recommend the use of infoboxes.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do infoboxes! I'll get back to
you ASAP.

yaiz 4 wiki.

This looks great, and I'd love to
contribute. But I have absolutely no
idea how to use it. Is there a self-
help guide or a FAQ to which you could
direct me?

If you want to figure out how to do that, be my guest. :)

But this doesn't have to be fancy... hyperlinks and stuff in
categories should be fine...

There are some FAQs in the help section...

http://help.atwiki.com/page/FAQ%252Fabout%20%40wiki

However, they seem to be written by people whose second
language is English...

It's not that difficult though....

At the top.. click on 'New Page'
drag it down to 'Create New Page'

Then it will ask you to give your page a name...
and for you to select edit mode...

I'd click this option ---
V

[WIKI-mode( edit with @wiki-rule . like-Wikipedia)]

Then click on the [create] button...

And you've got your new page....

As for editing pages... go to the top and click on [edit]
and drag it down to [edit page]...

Did finish copying the whole roster to the wiki...
(Well, most of it... some of the roster links were
broken in the www.roster...)

Still needs a lot of work in terms of hyperlinking
and stuff...

Also probably need to replace the LNH entry on it...
Just copied the wikipedia entry to see what it
looked like...

Behold the Possum-Man page (which I've been using as a sandbox);
http://lnh.atwiki.com/page/Possum-Man

It's got an infobox with all the stuff that the previous roster had,
and the page proper is split up between the four larger topics;
History, Appearance, Powers, and Personality. Appearances might want
to go down the bottom of that, too, or take up the space I've marked
as 'footnotes'.

Glimpsing over Wikipedia pages, I think that I should be able to make
the infobox a template, and thuswise easier for other people to use if
they so desired. I'll get back to you on that. >.>

Since I've been off-and-on in the mood to write some more LNH stuff
again, pick up the Teens in Trenchcoats kids and play with them some
more, I fire up some entries. Thanks for the wiki, Arthur. It looks
really good. I *think* I got the infobox thing to work okay as well,
though I adjusted the entry titles a bit.
