I hope they brought the Queen some Nyquil.

Chevalier: The Queen's Mouseketeer. It's a fabled fairy tale of
enor-mouse proportions.

It had better be Valium if the Queen suddenly finds mice in her chamber.

I'm guessing that would all depend on how the mice introduce themselves.

And a little homemade chicken soup wouldn't hurt. :)

Now I wanna live in Happy Land where small animals sneak in my house,
introduce themselves politely, and bring me breakfast. In *my* world,
the mice are more likely to strap me up to lab machines. 8{C>

Like a reverse Island of Dr. Moreau.

NEWS! Looks like Chevalier's wide book distribution will be starting
soon. I told Monique that Amazon has started to put together their
product page for the new book today. Which means our book info has
finally been uploaded into our distributor's database and is available
to online and bookstore retailers. I'd say the Amazon page should be
ready by the end of this week the latest. And your local bookstore will
be able to order it for you too if they don't have it in stock. I'll let
you know when Amazon is up. And links to it will be on our comic and
FaceBook page, of course.

Hey, mouse! My glass is empty! 8{D>
Well, congratulations to you. This is where your strategy of writing
stories instead of strips might pay off.

However, I think you might still be thinking big and publishing small.
I fear some people might buy the book for their children but then say,
"What, I have to buy three more to get the whole story?"

... err, sorry, but we *are* here for review. 8(O>

I'm not thinking big and publishing small, I'm publishing in color,
which is a whole different animal then publishing in b&w if you've ever
done it.

If Chevalier was b&w it would be released in one graphic novel as was my
original intent. But the publisher I had at the time wisely said it
would be more "cost effective" to put a children's book out in smaller
portions. which means that we'd get more to market quicker, and be
earning us money while in production.

PLUS as I said this is color. Whole different animal. It's F-ing
expensive. Which is why most POD creators steer clear of it--Including
myself. You make absolutely no profit because the production cost is so
high and you have to try and keep the price low and competitive. No
profit you say? Yes, no profit. Monique and I have to sell 2 copies of
Chevalier to earn a solid dollar in profit. Whereas we make $4 or $5
profit on every copy of our trades of The Continentals and GAAK and they
have MUCH higher page counts. The difference? Color versus B&W.

Other then Chevalier and any probable sequels to it, I'll never work in
color again. Not really worth it.

Sorry to go on like that, but it's complicated.
