  Watching a bit of &amp;quot;Enid&amp;quot; (Enid Blyton) with Helena Bonham Carter on &lt;br&gt; BBC, (have recorded it so will watch rest later) I then read an &lt;br&gt; interview with H B-C where she apparently said that Enid Bylton &lt;br&gt; was &amp;quot;bonkers and a bad mother&amp;quot;. &lt;br&gt; Enid Blyton wrote over 750 childrens books, plus magazine stories, &lt;br&gt; there was a time where she wrote an estimated 10&#39;000 words per day.

  A careful reading of the spells D&amp;amp;D v 2.0 reveals a number of spells &lt;br&gt; originating from Cugel&#39;s Saga. The Spell of Forlorn Encystement comes &lt;br&gt; to mind (9th level, you end up in statis 50 miles underground), but &lt;br&gt; there are others. Been a long time, can&#39;t recall.

  I had never heard of Fritz Leiber of Fahryd and the Grey Mouser until I &lt;br&gt; began playing D&amp;amp;D and heard that those books were an influence. Immediately &lt;br&gt; went out and read the entire series and loved them. Always grateful to D&amp;amp;D &lt;br&gt; for that.
