Continuing with Tolstoy whom Isaiah Berlin
would classify neither as a pluralist (a "fox") nor
as a monist (a "hedgehog")...
I used to think Sir Isaiah had gone innumerate
late in life. No man who writes a 1400-page
novel can be called a monist. But the dedication
at which Tolstoy cranked out the goods does
makes him a hard core monist.
MMX is one character less than 2010, and "ememex" rolls off
the tongue nicely.
