Harry Fenn
Harry Fenn ( 1838- 1911).He was born in England and received his training
under the Dalzirl
brothers, a famous wood engraving firm.At 19 he came to America, and in
1870 he took on a project
for Picturesque America. Below are some of the steel engravings from that
book. He then worked
for Harpers Monthly and other magazines. He is a founder of the American
Watercolor Society, the
Society of Illustrators and Salmagundi Club.
