shelf wear and rubbing to the edges of the boards with a bit of bumping to the
head and heel of the spine. Dj has light wear on edges of covers with some
minor scuffing to the covers. 279 pages with illustrations, color plates,
endnotes, bibliography, and index. An interesting analysis of the mosaic
portraying the Battle of Issus in 333 BC between Alexander the Great of
Macedonia and Darius III of Persia. The author examines this work of art as a
Greek painting from the fourth century BC and as a Roman mosaic from Pompeii in
100 BC. $55.00.

and corners. Page edges have some foxing. Some scuffing to covers. 520 p.
w/illustrations, index, and maps, including 1 fold out map. A good early 20th
century popular history of Alexander, his ear and conquests. $20.00.
