STUDIO ORIGINAL ART 1893-

Hello, I have recently acquired every ORIGINAL graphic from THE STUDIO
publication.
For the uninitiated, THE STUDIO was a groundbreaking British art
publication that offered it's first issue in 1893 and was instrumental
in the introduction and encouragement of the careers of Aubrey Beardsly
among many other notable artists.
Original works of art (lithographs, etchings and woodcuts) were
inserted in issues for publication. The first 7 or 8 years saw the bulk
of these deluxe insertions. Among the artists represented by ORIGINAL
works of art commissioned for and usually limited to the Studio, were,
Waterhouse, Pennell, Khnopff, Holloway, Orlik and of course James
McNeill Whistler. Whistler was represented by 5 original lithographs.
You will notice from the list below that 3 of these works have already
been sold.
It is almost unprecedented to see all of these works together. This is
an excellent chance to acquire rare works from this impressive
publication.
