edition. Photographs by Bill Brooks, Chic Harris, and Tom Hall. From
coast to coast and the Arctic. Sm. 4to in brown boards, 81 pp. with
biographical sketches of the contributors. Modest edgewear. Near fine
in a slightly soiled white dust jacket with a few short closed tears.

Hill, Adrian. ON THE MASTERY OF WATER-COLOUR PAINTING with Practical
Demonstrations. Pitman, London, (1939). First reprint 1945.
Illustrated with many paintings by the author, mostly in colour. Small

Slight soiling along the extremities. Near fine in a tattered dust

First edition. Illustrated with Lithographs by ALICE BIRD, specially
made for this book. Never was the Red Cedar more attractively executed.
8vo in grey cloth with green decorations and printing on cover and
spine, 64 pp. Small bookseller stamp inside front cover. Near fine in
a very good pink dust jacket, slightly soiled, chipped, and worn on all
folds, and illustrated on both the front and rear panels. (NF/VG).

edition. With the Camera of John De Visser, and older historical

fine copy but for some dust stain on the top edge, in a fine dust

Yee, Chiang. BIRDS AND BEASTS. Country Life, London, (1939). First
edition. A portfolio of 12 numbered plates and accompanying four-page
introduction, all laid inside three folding flaps. Bound in oblong
octavo tan boards with black animal and bird decorated cover, lettered
in English and Chinese. Slightly soiled covers (the rear moreso than
the front) with the fold of the top flap half-torn along its length.
