i need to find a charactor from...well oviously from a book!

hi
i'm expected to dress up on friday the 9th of october, as a charactor
from a book. i love army clothes, i like to be in the army too. so
everyone thought i should become a soldier on friday. the problem is
i don't have a charactor to say i'm a soldier. i thought of being G.I
Jane which is from a film but its not from a book.
plz can you help?
no offence but if there are some boys out there who could help as it
is that you are in those kind of stuff you are most welcome girls
too. sorry i needed to say that.
