Comic book artist Irving 'Bud' Tripp died on 27 November in Lakeland,
FL at the age of 88 due to complications from cancer. Tripp pencilled
and inked for Dell and, later, Gold Key from 1941 (with a stop-out for
WW2 service) until his retirement in 1982, and was probably best known
for his work on the 'Little Lulu' title. He also worked for Disney
and other licensors on Dumbo, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny and similar
titles.
