Re: An artist to do logo jpg

I want to address all that was written below.
First, Anton, thankyou for your recognition of my
profession, but I believe that it would not take
a professional artist to do this job well. There
are some computer graphic people here who may even
do better.

All of you who have been styling your trees via
these graphic programs are fully as capable as I am.
You probably have more technical ability and better
programs.
However, it would be my pleasure to throw some quick
studies back and forth and perhaps be able to come up
with something between us to offer at least a beginning.

Perhaps Anton then would give our results a trial run
on transfer paper.

Also, how about using 'Internet Bonsai Club' and 'rec.arts.bonsai' in
curves to form a "seal" with the tree in the center?

The IBC is made up of rec.arts.bonsai & BON...@home.dc.LSOFT.COM (the
mailing list). I agree with Anton Nijhuis comments of:

There is a simple way to start this, I think if I am correct Lynn Boyd
is an artist and maybe she can make up a design-logo in a jpg. This can
be downloaded by anyone. Those of us with ink jet printers can print
the design onto iron on transfer paper (Canon sells one) ...At least it
would be a start, but we need a design consensus!!

If anyone has trouble getting the jpeg printed on the xfer paper,
there are many people who would be willing to help them out. I have
seen the transfer paper results and I like it. It works well and looks
good. I vote for Internet Bonsai Club cresting over a tree icon of

Internet
Bonsai
Club

It would be good to have an ascii logo, so postings could contain it.
We are after all primarily a text club.

It doesn't look to me that we're gonna get enough orders to make a
silk screen cost effective from my friends' shop; have somewhere
between 18-25 orders now (most of the "orders" are at my old address
and I haven't tranferred them over here). I think we'd have to AT
LEAST double it if we want shirts below $25-$30(a guess, but that seems
a bit steep for a tee). I'm beginning to think the idea of the iron-on
gizmo may be the way to go, IF they look decent. I know nothing of
them.

Let's keep discussing.
