I finaly planned my trip to Japan on 25mei for 14days. I asked before but
now I know which cities I will be visiting. I am looking for a tattoo artist
in Tokyo, Kyoto or Nara. I like to have a tattoo as a "souvenir" which is
done the Japanese traditional way.
Like to have some names or website links so I can contact them and try the
plan things in during my short stay in Japan.

thanks,
John

Gosh, I wish I was going with you. Japan was the best trip I have ever
taken. I went to many tattoo shops, what a trip that was. Very clean
studios; leave your shoes at the door (they have you put on slippers
that for me were much too small).

I would give you pointers here, but I never got a tattoo when I went.
There are so many great traditional artists.

I say look up 214 Company and find Demi and Toyo. Just tell them I sent
you. I looked everywhere for Demis email address and could not find it.
I will keep looking as I think its your best bet, if and when I find it I
will send it to you via email.

She speaks great English. Demi and Toyo were on the cover of PFIQ #50.

Here is one worth checking out:

TATTOOING BY HORI WAKA, Green Haitsu (sic--"Heights") Asakusa
601, 2-19-9, Nishiasakusa, Taitou-ku, Tokyo, 111, Japan.
38-3844-6002
Horiwaka uses both traditional Japanese tools, as well as a machine.

He only speaks Japanese, so I don't think email would help if you
could find it. I will be getting an email address for Demi by Monday,
and I will be happy to forward that to you.

Yes please, where are they located. And do they do "hand" style? Another
"stupid" question , are they expensive concidering European prices?
