A lovely subject, no?
Warning: this is pretty icky.

Ok, when I try to stretch my scrotum using the steel rings method, some
of the skin always turns grey and dies. I'm sure this is unsafe so I
always end up taking the rings off. My questions are:

1) Is the grey rotting thing because of the moisture? Would baby powder
or perhaps Gold Bond help?

2) How dangerous is all of that? I'm not concerned with the safety
of stretching, but the skin thing is very nasty. Both times this has
happened I was very careful to keep the area thoroughly clean and
made sure that it spread no further.

rottingly yours,
ccapt.

Huh?
This is a newsgroup where people describe using a hollow
prince's wand to dispense beverages, where the proper
technique for branding was summed up "heat metal red hot,
place on skin till sizzle stops". This is tame.

I had similar problems using heavy steel hardware. I guessed
it was the metal, so I made a skin for the ring out of felt.
Same problem.

Dunno. Didn't even think of this myself.

Dunno, but it is a pretty precious bodypart to take foolish
risks with, IMHO.

Since I couldn't get the heavy ring method to work I tried
other ways. First was a leather funnel from which I hung
weights. Alright, but since I could not keep weight it on all
of the time, results were poor. Then I came up with a
supplement for it. I made a collar which creates a
constricting neck for my scrotum. Template below for
clarity.

(The periods are holes.)

It wraps around twice, slit in slit, and laces up with a
shoestring to keep it nice and snug. Since the collar can
easily be worn under clothing, it is a great way to keep
from falling back when the weights aren't in place. You do
have to keep making new collars, wider and wider however.

Wearing the collar, but not the funnel, my balls look like a
minature brain on a thick brainstalk. Explains quite
literally how some guys think without using their brains,
you know what I mean.

Now that's tasteless.

human engineering?

Sounds a lot more interesting than the typical "take a coke can through the
barrier from outside the boundary zone" group project.

Actually, I have a 1.5lb chrome one from Mr. S. This thing would be
*perfect* except for the slightly narrow opening. The irritation I get
from using a bunch of 1.5 inch rings is mostly from pinching and hair
pulling, but the circulaltion gets cut off drastically with the chrome
one.
What I hoping to do is get a bit of a stretch started with another
method, and then switch to my chrome weight once I have some 'drop.'

>Are you guys
>getting circulation problems before you get the skin problems?

Well, the steel rings method is thethe only method that has ever given me
the irritated skin, and I had near-perfect circulation with it. So I'd
have to say no.

>Another thought is that the skin problems might be due to the skin

This does make sense, although the rings method is (at least on me)
pretty breathable. It did make me sweat a lot though, and the irritated
skin that I had may have started as small pinch wound which became
irritated by the sweat. I was pretty careful to wash the area by pulling
the rings as high as I could while washing the lower part, and then
pulling the rings as low as I could and washing the upper area. Drying
the area was pretty inefficient though, and the extra moisture could have
sped the irritation.

<compression spring idea....>

The idea of a spring is an interesting one because it would be fully
breathable, and the tension of the spring could be used to stretch
instead of weight. I think 2 1.5 inch cock rings with a spring in
between would be perfect, actually. Something to consider, for sure.
