I'm shopping for a new filler for my PA and need input from someone
that has experience with the spring-loaded ball type of CBR. Something
like this http://www.all4piercing.com/uploads/piercing/1178.jpg

My concern is that the ball would come out when I don't want it to and
present the bare ends of the ring when it could be painful and/or
dangerous.

TIA

A

It appears to be stainless. If it isn't Ti, I say let it go.

In your case, the Ti would have to override YOUR perfection. Just not
possible.

Get a smooth (segment) ring instead. Much better - no ball to catch on
anything, and it won't come apart by accident. Only thing - don't over
spread the ring when inserting or removing the segment - that "would" make
the fit looser.
