Tongue piercing and partial dentures.

am wanting to get my tongue pierced, but am hesitant due to the fact
that i have a partial upper denture. There is a metal "plate" about half
way back on the roof of my mouth. I have already checked into there being
a reaction with the 2 different types of metal and learned through several
dentist, dental prosthetic manufacturers and piercers that it should not
be a problem. My concern now is "overcrowding". Since the partial takes up
a little room in the roof of my mouth I was wondering if the barbell would
be to crowded and cause any type of irritation, especially the bottom.

Would really appreciate any comment, suggestions or your 2 cents worth.

Well, the first thought that came into my head when reading this is
that you could make some really terrific clicking noises! :-)

But that rather useless observation is about the only thing I can add,
as I don't possess that particular pierce.

However, from reading other folk's posts about their tongue
experiences, it seems that your pierce would perhaps be problematic
only during the initial healing phase, as the jewelry needs to be
longer than normal to allow for swelling. After you heal, a shorter
bar could be put in, and maybe that would work well.
